Thank you for your interest in Kennebunk Elementary School!  KES is located in a woodsy area with close proximity to the center of coastal Kennebunk, Maine. KES serves pre-K through 2nd grade and is a wonderful place for young learners. At KES our teachers are highly qualified and are dedicated to helping every student achieve success. We boast excellent assessment scores, with generally 70% of our students scoring above National averages in both Reading and Math. We offer daily Literacy and Math intervention support, and the student experience at KES also includes Art, Music, Physical Education, Library, World Language (Spanish) and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.) With two School Counselors, one Social Worker, a full time School Resource Officer, and a full time School Nurse, we utilize a developmental "whole child" approach with proactive and restorative practices including Monthly Character Traits, Social Emotional Learning curriculum and Responsive Classroom methods.
